SAP BusinessObjects Automation

Automate SAP BusinessObjects report downloads

Stop logging into SAP BOE every morning to re-run the same export. Record the click-through once — including the SSO login — and Report Flow replays it on your schedule, session timing included.

Handles the SSO step, not just the report screen

SAP BusinessObjects logins commonly hand off to a separate single sign-on step — including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) flows — after the page loads. Report Flow's recorder captures that step the same way it captures every click, so the replay handles it the same way each run. Sessions can stay active between scheduled runs, so re-authentication isn't required every time.

No BOE REST API, no script to maintain

You don't need to write against the BI platform's API or maintain a script when SAP updates a report layout. Record the click-through once — navigate, open the report, export — and edit individual steps later if something moves, instead of rebuilding a script from scratch.

A full run log, every time

Every scheduled run is logged step by step. If a run fails — a login timeout, a moved button, a report that didn't load — the log shows exactly which step and why, so you can fix it and re-run manually before the next scheduled export.

Common questions.

Does Report Flow support SAP BusinessObjects SSO logins?
Yes, for most SSO setups including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). Report Flow launches a dedicated Chromium-based browser and replays your recorded login steps. Logins that require a new MFA code or push-notification approval on every single run aren't supported for unattended scheduled execution, since there's no human present to approve it.
Do I need API access to SAP BusinessObjects?
No. Report Flow automates the same browser interface you already use — no BOE REST API, integration, or IT-provisioned access required.
What happens if SAP BOE changes its layout?
If a report page or SSO screen changes, the affected step may need to be updated. You can edit that step directly, or re-record just the affected portion, without rebuilding the whole workflow.
